What Owners Say
"The engine stopped while I was driving on the freeway - scary. When I pulled over, turned the car off and started it again I was able to drive to the dealer. They replaced the engine with a refurbished engine for free under our extended warranty. It was complete within a few days and they were super easy to deal with."

Anonymous A., IL (2017 Hyundai Sonata Sport 2.4-L 4 Cyl)"Standard bearing failure and major oil consumption"
Anonymous, MN (2017 Hyundai Sonata Sport 2.4-L 4 Cyl)""There is an oil consumption issue with the 2017 Hyundai Sonata, serious enough that Hyundai has issued a Service Bulletin regarding the issue. I am in the process of going through their Service procedure in the effort to rectify the issue. Currently, I am consuming between one and one half quarts of oil every 1000 miles or so.""
Anonymous, NY (2017 Hyundai Sonata SE 2.4-L 4 Cyl)""I do not remember exactly what the whole problem was called. It cost me $2900.00. It included the knock sensor, timing chain/belt and several other items. There was a class action law suit filed which included my car. Additional issues involving the engine have been handled under the extended warranty which was a result of the law suit. I now have a check engine light on again and getting it into the dealership, diagnosed and repaired is a nightmare! The last time it was in it took them almost 6 months to get it back. Alas, the saga continues with the check engine light. I will not take it back to the same dealership. I do have the paperwork. It's going to be another major inconvenience for me,again.""
Anonymous, MI (2017 Hyundai Sonata Sport 2.4-L 4 Cyl)""Engine oil consumption,1 qt every 500 miles. Dealer did a "cleaning" which was a joke. Many owners have had to sue to get the engine replaced. Still fighting with the dealer.""
