Muffler, pipes, catalytic converter, exhaust manifold, heat shields, leaks.

    What Owners Say

    Catalytic converter

    "Failed and cost me $4000"

    Anonymous, MD (2012 Infiniti G X 3.7-L V6)

    "Sporadic problem"

    Anonymous A., MS (2012 Infiniti G Journey 3.7-L V6)
    Other/unsure

"The problem with losing cruise control all the time"

    Anonymous A., ON (2012 Infiniti G X 3.7-L V6)

    Noises/Leaks

Squeaks, rattles, wind noises, seals and/or weather stripping, air and water leaks.

    What Owners Say

    Air or water leaks

"As described earlier, sunroof ports clog and resultant flooding result in rusted out front frame, severe water accumulation in car interior, and shorting out keyless entry and inconsistent dashboard functions."

    Anonymous, NY (2012 Infiniti G)
    Seals and/or weather-stripping

"Because the drainage ports in the sunroof clog easily with dirt, tree sap and debris, the car frequently floods in heavy rains, resulting in rusting out the front frame, and shorting the keyless entry system."

    Anonymous, NY (2012 Infiniti G)

    Anonymous, AB (2012 Infiniti G Sport 3.7-L V6)
    Other electrical system problem

"We recently drove from our previous home in Westchester County, NY, to our new apartment in Boynton Beach, FL. About 2/3 of the way there, we noticed a noise coming from the left front wheel. We stopped off at an Infiniti dealership in Charleston, SC, and they diagnosed the problem and (luckily) actually had the replacement part that fit our car. Although it cost over $1,000, it was repaired in one day and we were back on the road with no further issues."

    Anonymous A., FL (2012 Infiniti G X 3.7-L V6)

    Engine Cooling

This is a very common fault on the VQ37 engine. I was able to replace it with a metal one so this is less likely to happen again.""
