    Display screen freezes up

"Touch screen on the radio digital display would not operate. Could use a credit card at the bottom of the screen to get a couple of functions working but not many. Searched on Amazon for a new screen. If I remember correctly it was $25. If you have a knack for this type of craft or if you are feeling confident there are several videos on how to replace the screen. Be careful to keep all of the fasteners. Also, there are several ribbon connectors between the screen and the radio. Be sure to carefully and gently release the ribbons or you could have connection difficulties. Turn on the radio and check that the screen works. A connection may have come loose. From the first molded plastic to be removed, replacing the screen and putting the last piece of molded plastic back in place was about an hour and a half. That includes cleaning everything while I had the radio out. First time I replaced a touch screen and it's still working perfectly after almost a year."

"I cannot adjust clock or Bluetooth. I cannot make phone calls, but I can them. I cannot connect with my phone."

    Anonymous A., CA (2016 Toyota Camry LE 3.5-L V6)

""The touchscreen doesn't work at all. The unit's buttons to do setup, change source, etc no longer work. Can't afford to replace it. Steering wheel sound system controls have not worked for over 3 years. We can't afford to fix. Not really needed to drive around.""

Anonymous A., CA (2016 Toyota Camry SE 2.5-L 4 Cyl)

""The touch screen started to do preselecting stations on its own; acted like you were touching the screen, but you really were not. This lead to loosing all touch screen control and radio control. Now you have to fight to get the radio to work.""

Anonymous A., CA (2016 Toyota Camry SE 2.5-L 4 Cyl)

"Sometimes I am not able to pair a new device with the in-car electronics. The already paired device remains paired but sometimes I have to try again at another time to pair an additional phone to the system. This and other problems with the system seem to be somewhat heat-related. (as in worse or more frequent during hot weather)"

    What Owners Say

    Antilock braking system (ABS)

"instrument panel displayed problem symbols with the abs almost continually with few breaks for several weeks. Online research pointed to brake sensor issue requiring replacement of sensor unit. Toyota dealer replaced unit at approx. $2700.00"

Anonymous A., NY (2016 Toyota Camry SE 2.5-L 4 Cyl)
    Calipers

"Rear caliper locked up and destroyed the break pad"

Anonymous, MN (2016 Toyota Camry LE 2.5-L 4 Cyl)
    Rotors

"Closing in on 100,000 miles and the car started a wobble coming from the rear. After a few checks it was determined that the rear brake rotors were warped. Shop wanted $25 to put them on a lathe and turn them smooth again. OEM new was $40 so I went with new. Replaced the rotor, the pads, and the parking brake shoes. Adjusted the parking brake pads and everything works fine with no wobble. The next weekend I readjusted the parking brake and it holds the car on a hill even with a trailer with 600 pounds on it."

    What Owners Say

    Alignment

""The alignment gets messed up easily because the struts are getting old and need replaced. Once this is fixed, the car will be in great shape again. Aside from this issue with the struts, which is a typical and expected repair/replacement at this mileage, the car has no issues and is in fabulous order. I love it. Toyota sales people and repairmen have regularly told me this was one of the best models Toyota ever made.""

Anonymous, CT (2016 Toyota Camry XLE 3.5-L V6)
    Bushings

"Pep boys inspection found the control arm w/ball joint needed to be replaced in 2 locations"

Anonymous A., FL (2016 Toyota Camry SE 2.5-L 4 Cyl)
    Shocks or struts

""As the car gets closer to 200,000mi, it is in need of new struts. The current/original ones are old and you can tell-- the car bounces a lot, and the alignment easily comes undone. This has caused us to have to replace the tires more often than we should have to in the last year.""

Anonymous, CT (2016 Toyota Camry XLE 3.5-L V6)
