Carpet Cleaners

The Dirt Devil Compact Portable Spot Cleaner is a light little carpet cleaner that weighs just 9 pounds with a full tank of solution. While the portable cleaners in our tests don’t measure up to full-sized machines in terms of their cleaning abilities, this model did well, especially when it comes to drying. It’s also one of the quieter models we tested. The tank isn’t huge (partly why the cleaner is so light), but if you’re just using it for spills and spot-cleaning, this model will do the trick. This deal is exclusive to Target Circle members.

Still undecided?
CR's expert guidance and unbiased reviews can help you purchase with confidence.

The Shark CarpetXpert EX201 isn’t exactly quiet—it earned a middling rating in our noise test—but it boasts strong performance in cleaning stains. It also did well in our dryness test and is excellent at removing cleaning solution from carpets. It comes with a hose that’s 60 inches long to get into tight spots.

Power Scrubbers

The Leebein Power Spin Scrubber ANS-8050 is a strong scrubber with an incredibly long battery life and two speeds: 300 rpm and 400 rpm. It comes with 8 attachments, including a scouring brush for greasy kitchen areas, a sponge brush for glass, a wool-like pad for polishing a car, and cloth brushes for leather and floor cleaning. It’s also relatively light and features an extension wand that extends up to 50 inches, giving you a long reach. The angle of the scrubber’s head is fixed and can’t be adjusted. It comes with an IPX7 waterproof rating, meaning it can withstand brief immersion in water. We’ve seen this power scrubber sell at slightly lower prices this year, but this is still a worthy deal.

If you want a power scrubber that won’t die in the middle of cleaning your shower, consider the Hoto Power Spin Scrubber IPX7, which not only cleans well but boasts a longer battery life than many others we’ve tested. It has two power settings: slow (220 rpm) and fast (300 rpm), and six attachments, including a dome brush for bathtubs, a pointed brush for crevices, a sponge pad for mirrors, a scouring pad for removing grease, and a cloth pad for floors. Its current discount is on par with its lowest sale price we’ve seen in the past few months.

Vacuums

If you’re in the market for a vacuum that can mop as well, but you don’t want to spend too much, this Eureka model could be a good fit. It’s the lowest-cost model we’ve tested, and you can get it at a great discount right now. The Eureka combo vac-mop scored very well (though not exceptionally) in wet and dry pickup and stain removal. It received only middling scores for ease of use and run time, but it may be worth dealing with a shorter battery life if it means staying under budget.

The Shark PowerDetect HZ4002 does an admirable job of cleaning bare floors and does almost as well on carpet. It features an auto-detect mode that adjusts the brush roll speed to the surface, transitioning efficiently between the two. It can be pulled apart for compact storage, allowing it to stand on its own and take up minimal space. This model even delivers powerful suction in reverse for more efficient cleaning in both a forward and backward motion. We’ve seen it sell at lower prices this year, but this is still a pretty good discount.

For a less expensive option than other robovacs, the Eufy C10 T2292 is a great choice if you don’t have too many carpeted areas in your home. While it’s only middling at cleaning dust and debris from carpets, it’s excellent at cleaning bare laminate floors in our lab tests. The vacuum is also impressive at cleaning up pet hair, making it ideal for pet owners.

This vacuum’s body is slimmer than those of the other vacuums we’ve tested, and its low clearance means it’s less likely to get caught under furniture. Although the vacuum’s dustbin is on the smaller side, that might not be much of a problem, because the vacuum automatically deposits debris into a self-emptying station.

Consistent with its moniker, the Bissell Pet Hair Eraser erased any evidence of pet hair from test carpets. It wasn’t the most powerful vacuum, but testers like the lighted crevice tool and the lights on the side of the vacuum that make it easier to see debris along edges. This model also has a lift-off feature which allows the user to convert the vacuum to canister mode.

If you’re a pet owner looking for a vac strong enough to handle your pet’s stray hair, this should be on your shortlist. The Kenmore Elite Pet Friendly UltraPlush 81714 lives up to its name and has the highest score in its category for picking up fur. It’s also top-notch at cleaning bare floors and very good at removing debris from carpets.

Steam Mop

The GorFanty 10-in-1 MultiPurpose, which typically retails for $100, has hit an all-time low price for Prime Day. It is an excellent cleaner with a decent steam rate. It takes only 20 seconds for the steam mop to produce steam, and its steam can last for around 10 minutes on its maximum setting. We like that you can adjust the length of the mop to accommodate people of different heights. The mop comes with plenty of accessories, including attachments for cleaning tile grout, clothes, furniture, windows, and carpets.

Air Conditioners

The U-shaped design of the Midea MAW08V1QWT allows you to open the window when the AC isn’t running and close it when it’s on. The model has an inverter compressor and is very quiet on its lowest setting and still reasonably quiet on high. We don’t have enough survey data to predict long-term reliability or user satisfaction for Midea’s ACs. It’s worth noting that the Midea MAW08V1QWT was recalled last June, but Midea has since released an updated version.

Air Purifiers

If you’re looking for a high-performing air purifier for an extra-large room (up to about 2,100 square feet), you can save hundreds on the Coway Airmega ProX. At 50 pounds, the model is quite heavy, but it delivers impressive performance on the highest and lowest speeds. It features three speeds in all, a filter indicator, and a dirt sensor. But all that comes at what is still a premium price, plus a hefty annual investment to run and maintain, according to our estimates. CR members can visit our model page for details.

The petite Clorox 11020 effectively cleans your room’s air of harmful particles, whether at a high or low setting. It can perch on a tabletop or be set on the floor and doesn’t get too noisy. It does lack certain conveniences, though, like app pairing and an auto mode, but otherwise it’s a nice fit for a small space (up to 150 square feet).

If you’re looking for an air purifier for a small room, the Blueair Mini Restful might fit the bill. It’s t the lowest price we’ve ever seen. The Mini Restful earns the CR Recommended designation because it performed very well in our tests. Running at high speeds, it aced the dust, pollen, and smoke removal tests, and did nearly as well operating at low speeds. It gets a middling score for noise output at high speed, which is common across every model, but it’s actually pretty quiet at low speed, making it a great option for all-day use in, say, a home office.

Equipped with a certified HEPA filter and activated carbon filter, the portable Blue Pure 211i Max does a terrific job removing dust, pollen, and smoke on its higher setting, but expect a bit of noise. On low, you’ll have more quiet while still experiencing admirable results. The 211i Max is designed for use in a large space of 350 to 650 square feet, and it’s light enough to easily move between rooms. It also offers a convenient auto mode that kicks the fan into a higher gear when the machine detects dirty air. Know that this model costs a bit more than average to run, though. Bed and Bath

Despite the "cooling" in its name, this Nectar pillow doesn’t actually have cooling properties. Still, it’s one of the most breathable pillows we’ve evaluated and our tests show that it doesn’t retain warmth. This polyurethane foam and polyester pillow is also quite resilient and excels at offering support for side sleepers. Back sleepers, however, would be better served by the Coop Original.

Cooling Blanket

Guohaoi Cooling Blanket

Guohaoi Cooling Blanket

The Guohaoi Cooling Blanket was the second most cooling blanket we tested. When wearing it for an hour, the evaluator reported it felt very cool and didn’t retain heat. The front of this blanket is constructed with nylon and polyester and feels like smooth, cool, swimsuit material. The back is made from Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified cotton. The stitching isn’t the neatest and feels a little inexpensive, and the two layers aren’t attached, but you can often expect some shortcomings for lower-priced items, and the important thing is that this blanket has a cooling effect as advertised.

According to our sensory test, the Lands’ End Premium Supima Cotton Sheet Set is one of the softest in our ratings. Though you will experience some wrinkling, it still performs better than most natural cotton sheets in our wrinkling assessment. With an excellent fit for mattresses 14 inches thick and under, little to no shrinkage, and a very strong weave, it is a solid pick. Check available colors to see discounts.

Lab tests find that this topper from Casper doesn’t allow users to sink in as deeply as others. This topper feels like an actual mattress, adding a touch of medium softness where needed without allowing the body to sink in too much. The two-layer cushion combines a layer of softer foam over a firmer base layer of foam. At a little under 16 pounds, it’s easy to move around, and its machine-washable zip-off cover made of polyester, cotton, rayon, and spandex makes it easy to clean. However, this topper can not be flipped. Casper offers a 30-night risk-free trial, and its toppers are backed by a 5-year limited mattress topper warranty.

The Horow Smart Toilet HRT38P offers great value for its price: It’s a smart toilet with strong flushes and a bidet that doesn’t disappoint when it comes to cleaning. The toilet comes with amenities common in a smart toilet—warm-air dryer, air deodorizer, heated seat, and automatic flushes and lid closure. It’s WaterSense certified, meaning its performance and water efficiency meet the standards set by that Environmental Protection Agency program. The toilet’s 17.5-inch height is ADA-compliant, making it easier rise from for people with mobility issues. The price right now is about as low as the sale price goes for this toilet.

For a more budget-friendly choice, the Canest Smart Toilet TC200GE is great at flushing waste and leaving no residue in the bowl. That said, its flushes can be a bit noisy. One of the features we really enjoy is that this toilet automatically adjusts the seat temperature, the warm-air dryer, and the bidet stream based on the indoor temperature, so you don’t have to adjust them seasonally. If you’re considering this toilet, you might want to act on this deal, since it’s the lowest price we’ve seen for this toilet this year.

The Luxe Bidet Neo 320 features a dual-nozzle design for thorough cleansing. It also offers heated water, provided your bathroom’s layout allows for connection to a hot water line via the included hose. For those short on time, the Neo 320 Plus comes conveniently preassembled, and you don’t have to fully remove the toilet seat to install it. This model also flips up on hinges, making it easier to clean the toilet bowl and surrounding area. But you can’t adjust the angle of the spray nozzle, as you can with some models. It’s now selling close to the lowest price we’ve seen this year.

Exercise Equipment

The NordicTrack T10 performs well across the board. Plus, its design can accommodate a wide variety of body shapes and sizes, and it’s built for durability and resists wear after our labs simulate six months of use. A subscription is required for the NordicTrack T10. Its frame comes with a 10-year warranty; its motor and parts, a 2-year warranty; and its electronics and repairs, a 1-year warranty.

Already budget-friendly, the Sunny Health & Fitness Magnetic Rowing Machine is a great pick at this price, particularly given its solid build quality. However, users should know that while this model can simulate rowing mechanics, it doesn’t display stroke rate, time per 500 meters, split time, or the distance you’ve rowed, making time on the machine the only metric you can use to track your workouts.

Each dumbbell in the Core Home Fitness Adjustable Dumbbell Set is automatically balanced with easy, one-handed adjustment via a simple twist of the handle. The Core Home dumbbells feature a good handgrip, and each dumbbell is shorter at lighter weights. Still, we found that each can be harder to replace in the cradle in some settings.

If you want a way to do cardio at home, an elliptical gives you an aerobic workout without the impact of running. The NordicTrack Air Glide 14i is CR Recommended for its performance in our lab tests. It did fall short in heart rate accuracy, but you can always wear a smartwatch or fitness tracker for more accurate readings if you want to track it.

Luggage

The Maxlite 5 21" Carry-On Spinner is a great expandable hard-shell carry-on that did well across all of our tests, including those to do with impact resistance and safety, meaning it should stand up to the tossing and bumping that usually takes place at the airport. It has four wheels, three handles, and comes in black, green, grey, and pink colors, and two shades of blue. It comes with a limited lifetime warranty.

With its relatively low price and admirable test performance, the expandable Amazon Basics 21-inch Hardside Spinner is a worthwhile pick for those who don’t care about the bells and whistles. It did well in our assessments for usability and performance, and it has eight wheels, two handles, and comes in black, orange, and pink colors, as well as two shades of blue. It comes with a three- or four-year warranty available for an additional charge.

This is a nice discount on the Samsonite Freeform Carry-on Spinner, another great hardshell performer from our tests. The Samsonite has four wheels, two handles, and it comes in more than 10 different colors, so you can choose a color specific to you. It comes with a 10-year limited warranty.

The soft-sided TravelPro Platinum Elite Carry-on is a costly investment, but it performs well in all our tests. And now’s a great time to invest, considering it’s on sale for more than $100 less than its usual price. Additionally, the TravelPro features a dedicated side pocket with a USB cable, allowing you to store and connect your own power bank to the bag’s built-in charging port on the back. It has four wheels, three handles, and comes in grey, red, brown, green, navy camouflage, two shades of blue, and two shades of black. It comes with a lifetime warranty.

Candle Warmers

Funistree Candle Warmer Lamp

Funistree Candle Warmer Lamp

The fun design isn’t the only reason this strawberry candle warmer lamp makes a great gift. It also works great, melting the wax slowly while still creating a strong fragrance (which means a longer-lasting candle). Our tester also said spilled wax was easy to clean off the wood base, and it has three light settings.

Fimilo Candle Warmer Lamp

Fimilo Candle Warmer Lamp

If you’re a fan of features, this lamp is for you. It’s got four different brightness settings and different color choices, and you can set three timer shut-offs for 2, 4, and 8 hours. The lamp height is adjustable, but our tester found the base to be a bit unwieldy, so it may not fit every candle. Its metal material also made spilled wax a little annoying to clean.

Power Tools

Cordless Drill

Bosch Chameleon

This 12-volt Bosch Chameleon cordless drill is $30 less than it was last week. It has enough power to tackle jobs around the house efficiently. It has two speed settings and comes with four nifty attachments that allow you to work easily in all kinds of tight corners and hard-to-reach spots.

Ego’s battery-powered outdoor equipment consistently gets top marks from our testers, and this one is now $20 less than it was recently. Consumer Reports has rated the following products from its 56-volt battery platform: string trimmersleaf blowerschainsaws, a hedge trimmer, and lawn mowers. This system of tools also includes a highly rated snow blower and a very good pressure washer, though they didn’t factor into the Overall Score. Tools can be bought with and without a battery, and you can buy a charger that takes two batteries at once. Ego also has a three-year warranty for its batteries.

The Ego LB6504 is a great choice if you want a battery-powered leaf blower that can handle tough jobs. Plus, the 56-volt battery that comes with this model can power other Ego power tools, like string trimmers, chainsaws, and lawn mowers. At $210, this is the lowest price we’ve seen all year.

Humidifier

This humidifier, rated for small rooms, is a fantastic balance of quality and price. It’s plenty capable, and it has an indicator when the water level is low, so it’s easy to know when you need to add more (and it shuts off automatically if you don’t get there in time).

Clothes Washers

The LG WM3400CW is already quite inexpensive even when it’s not discounted, so the added savings are a bonus. Especially given its performance, it’s a smart buy and an environmentally friendly choice, combining exceptional washing performance with superior water and energy efficiency. But this model isn’t particularly gentle on fabric, so you might want to try the delicate cycle for your best threads. This washer’s claimed capacity is 4.5 cubic feet, and its cycle time is 105 minutes.

One of the most budget-friendly top-load agitators in our tests, the LG WT7005CW isn’t the gentlest on clothes, but it conserves energy and water. It’s among the quietest models in our tests and causes little to no vibration, meaning it won’t disturb you with rumbling. The cycle time is 70 minutes using the normal-wash, heavy-soil setting. Shorten it by using the normal-soil setting when you can.

Dryers

The top-rated LG DLE3400W is just $50 more than the last big sale. We expect it to perform similarly to the CR-tested LG DLEX3700W (now discontinued). The tested model delivers solid performance across the board, nabbing an ace rating for noise and ratings near the top in our drying and convenience tests. This stackable Energy Star certified machine, with a claimed capacity of 7.4 cubic feet, is equipped with a moisture sensor, an extended tumble, custom programs, and an end-of-cycle signal—offering all these features at a fairly low price.

Mini-fridge

Midea WHD-113FSS1

The Midea WHD-113FSS1 is great for those who want a mini fridge with a freezer. It performs well and is very energy efficient. It also runs very quietly, so you’ll hardly notice it. The model is 34 inches tall, 19 inches wide, and 20 inches deep. It has 2.5 cubic feet of usable storage space and features an interior light and a can dispenser. This Midea mini fridge is on sale for its lowest price since last December.
